Bombay Talkies is a compact filter and VCA combo module inspired by the classic character of Mutable Instruments’ Ripples, reimagined with added flexibility for modern modular workflows.
At its core, it features a smooth multimode filter offering both 2-pole and 4-pole lowpass responses, along with a 2-pole bandpass output. The signal path is internally normalled by default, audio flows through the 4-pole lowpass filter into the VCA, making it ideal for quick, musical patching.
Unlike its inspiration, Bombay Talkies allows the VCA to operate independently, enabling greater control and modular routing possibilities. Whether you're shaping tones, controlling dynamics, or building complete voices, this module is designed to be both intuitive and versatile.
